Wassail

Wassailing: A centuries-old British tradition of visiting apple orchards to recite incantations and sing to the trees. It is believed this awakens the trees, chases away evil spirits, and thus ensures a bountiful autumn harvest. Wassail, or “waes hael” means “good health”.
